Jamanak

Jamanak (Armenian Ժամանակ; German: "time" ) is a Turkish daily newspaper in Armenian, published in Istanbul since 1908. It is published Monday to Saturday, with a circulation of about 1,500 copies. The newspaper is sold in the Armenian neighborhoods in Istanbul and served the Armenian diaspora outside of Istanbul by subscription. The associated newspaper publisher, a company founded in the family estate of the family of Misag Koçunyan.

The paper pursues a pro-Turkish line; in the 1980s, when the Armenian Asala pointed by attacks on the Armenian genocide by Turkey, introduced Jamanak Turks as the savior and protector of the Armenian dar.

Among other things, contributed Krikor Zohrab, Taniel Varus Chan, Vahan Tekeyan, Eruchan, Gomidas, Hovhannes Tumanyan, Teotig, Arshaguhi Teotig, Rupen Sevag, Zabel Yesayan, Sibil, Nigoghos Sarafian, Vazken Shushanyan, Zareh Vorpuni, Nshan Beshiktashlian, Hagop Mntsuri, MSHO Kegham, zahrad, Zaven Biberyan, Toros Azadyan and Minas Tölelyan to the newspaper at.

With its uninterrupted since October 28, 1908 appearance Jamanak is the oldest daily newspaper in Turkey.
