James Connolly (athlete born 1901)
James Connolly ( James Joseph Connolly, born January 4, 1900 in Woburn, † September 30, 1940 ) was an American middle and long distance runners.
In 1920 he arrived at the Olympic Games in Antwerp about 1500 m finals, reached there but not the goal.
In the team race over 3000 meters of the Olympic Games in Paris in 1924, he came on the 17th Place. Although he did not finish the race, he was like the rest of the U.S. team won a bronze medal.
