James Darmesteter
James Darmesteter ( born March 28, 1849 in Château- Salins, † October 19, 1894 in Maisons- Laffitte in Paris) was a French orientalist.
Darmesteter studied in Paris Comparative Languages and Religious Studies. His special interest was paid to the Old Persian. In 1885 he became a professor at the Collège de France.
