James Dudley

James Dudley ( born May 12, 1910 in Baltimore, Maryland, † June 1, 2004 ) was an American wrestling manager, best known by the WWF. Dudley was the first African-American who led a major U.S. arena.

Life

Dudley began his career with the McMahon family in the 1950s. He was, until his death, always a part of the WWE. Initially, Dudley was the chauffeur of Vincent J. McMahon in the 50s. He became the first black manager, who accompanied big names like Bobo Brazil in the ring. He was almost 50 years an employee of the WWF. 1994 Dudley was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. Dudley left behind 37 grandchildren, 34 great- grandchildren and 16 great-great - grandchildren.
