James Fazy

James (Jean Jacob) Fazy ( born May 12, 1794 in Geneva, † November 6, 1878 in Le Petit- Saconnex, hometown entitled in Geneva) was a Swiss politician and publicist.

Life

Fazy ​​received his education in France, settled in Paris as a journalist down and took an active part in the struggle of liberal opposition to the restoration impulses, signed July 26, 1830 the protest of the French journalists against the Juliordonnanzen, opposed the candidature of the Duke of Orleans and returned after he suffered multiple prosecutions for press offenses, in 1833 in his native city, where he had founded in 1826, the Journal de Genève.
