James Gathers
James Gathers ( born June 13, 1930 in Sumter, South Carolina, † June 8, 2002 in Alcoa, Tennessee) was an American track and field athlete.
At the 1952 Olympics in Helsinki Gathers won the bronze medal behind his compatriots Andy Stanfield and Thane Baker in the 200 -meter run.
In 1954 he was Canadian champion in the 100 yards.
