James Goodnight

James Goodnight ( born January 6, 1943 in Salisbury, North Carolina) is an American entrepreneur.

Life

Goodnight studied computer science at North Carolina State University in Raleigh and at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Together with Anthony Barr, John Sall and Jane Helwig 1976, he founded the company SAS Institute, which he currently heads. According to the Forbes Magazine Goodnight is one of the richest Americans. Goodnight is married and has three children.
