James Merendino

James Merendino (born 1967 in Rome, Italy) is an American film director and screenwriter.

Biography

At the age of six years, James Antonioni Merendino moved with his family from Italy to New York first and then to Salt Lake City. At sixteen, he moved back to Rome to study theology and philosophy.

He starred in many independent films, but found few attention. Only with its subculture study " SLC Punk! " (1998), which now became a cult film, it took an important contribution to film history. In a supporting role to the German actor Til Schweiger is seen. His latest film Trespassing (2004 ), however, was panned by audiences and the press.
