James Orr (filmmaker)

James R. Orr ( born 1953 in Canada ) is a Canadian film director, film producer and screenwriter.

Life

After James Orr, the Carleton School of Journalism visited, he studied film at York University. Subsequently, he was admitted at the first Canadian in 1977 in the renowned director of the American Film Institute program. As early as 1985 he has directed the romantic comedy Breaking All the Rules, where he worked among others with screenwriter Jim Cruickshank. This connected him since a multi-year collaboration, which makes fun of films like Three Men and a Baby, Mr. Destiny, One and one and four (K ) drew wanted a father.

After the actress Farrah Fawcett to marry Orr refused on 28 January 1998, both started in the restaurant to argue. After the drive home in Orrs Villa escalated this dispute and Orr beat Fawcett to the entrance and choked them. A Los Angeles court found him guilty and sentenced him to 100 hours of community service and $ 500 fine.

Since the 1980s, Orr is an avowed wine fan and offered not only on multiple auctions with wine, he also gave the wine journalist James Suckling in March 2011 that both want to run a website about wine drinking.
