James Troisi

James Troisi ( born July 3, 1988 in Adelaide ) is an Australian football player.

Club career

Childhood and youth, up to 2005

Troisi was born in 1988 as the son of an Italian and a Greek in Adelaide, Australia. At the age of seven years he came to his school for the first time with football in contact and came some time later at a club. There he was cared for, among others, by the former Serie A professional Mario Corti. With eleven years Troisi came to Burning Ambition Academy. In 2005 he ventured then to move to Europe and went to the youth academy of Newcastle United.

Newcastle United, 2005-2008

In Newcastle United he played the first two years mainly in the youth team, but also came sporadically in the reserve team games used. In January 2007, he signed his first professional contract which had until 2008 validity. Troisi remained in the next 18 months without a competitive game use for the first team Newcastle. He only came in the pre-season 2007/ 08 in some test games for use and sat several times in games in the Premier League and the UEFA Cup on the bench. From Newcastle manager Kevin Keegan Troisi submitted no renewed contract offer and so he left the English club in the summer of 2008.

A few months earlier was Troisi just before a change to the Dutch club Roda JC Kerkrade, after he was able to convince at a trial in January 2008. Since Newcastle but insisted on training compensation, the change did not materialize.

Stations in Turkey, since 2008

Shortly before the end of the transfer window Troisi signed a three -year contract with the Turkish club Gençlerbirliği capital Ankara, already was another Australian contract with the Bruce Djite. His competitive debut for the club he gave on 14 September 2008 as a substitute against Eskişehirspor. Following his debut season in Turkish football, in which he scored six goals in 29 games, he moved to league rivals Kayserispor, against whom he had scored three goals in a league game in January 2009. At the end of the 2011/12 season he separated from Kayserispor

Atalanta Bergamo

In summer 2012 he moved to Italy to Atalanta and there wrote a contract until 2016. In Serie A, he got a total of six times for use in the Coppa Italia twice. A goal he did not succeed at this time.

Melbourne Victory

For the 2013/14 season, he spent a year on loan in his Australian homeland to Melbourne Victory.

National

Troisi came in an Olympic qualifier against Saudi Arabia in April 2007 for the first time for the Australian Olympic team ( U23 ) are used. From choosing coach Graham Arnold, he was appointed after the successful qualification in the 18- man squad for the finals of the Olympic football tournament in China in 2008. The final round, with only one point already failed in Australia in the first round, was disappointing for Troisi. In the second group match against Argentina he played the first 65 minutes in the final and decisive match against the Ivory Coast, he came on in the 86th minute.

Already on March 22, 2008, he was in a goalless friendly against Singapore his debut in the Australian national team.
