James Wattana

James Wattana ( born January 17, 1970 in Bangkok as Wattana Phu -Ob - Om, วัฒนา ภู่ โอบ อ้อม, 2003 changing the name in Ratchapol Pu -Ob - Orm, รัช พล ภู่ โอบ อ้อม, Nickname: Thong Sitchai, ต๋ อง ศิษย์ ฉ่อย, outside of Thailand: James Wattana ) is a Thai snooker player.

Career

Wattana was born in 1970 in Khlong Toei, Bangkok. His career began with snooker nine years in a snooker club his family. It is said that he had to stand on a water fountain to play the balls properly.

In 1988, he won the IBSF World Amateur Championship, the following year he turned professional. His first major success as a professional player he was when he won the 1992 Open Strachan.
