Jamesie is in Quebec, Canada, the territory of the administrative region of Nord -du -Québec south of the 55th parallel, which is largely covered by boreal forest.

The region consists of the municipality of Baie- James, which almost covers the entire territory, as well as four enclaves that the status of autonomous communities have ( Chibougamau, Chapais, Lebel -sur- Quévillon and Matagami ). Capital is Chibougamau.
