Jamie T
Jamie T ( born January 8, 1986; actually Jamie Treays ) is a musician from Wimbledon, England. His music mainly uses everyday instruments and sounds that are arranged with the help of sampling in catchy pop songs. Unusual combinations and bonds from a variety of styles ( folk, ska, but also electronic elements ) created new pieces of music. So far, all the songs were recorded in Jamie T's living room studio. His dialect brings him ever again comparisons with Mike Skinner ( The Streets ) or Alex Turner of the Arctic Monkeys.
Career
Jamie T is the major label Virgin Records. In January 2007, his first album Panic Prevention was published ( in Germany on Labels / EMI). He also runs his own label, Pacemaker Records, on which his first EP was released.
Became known Jamie T among other things, the organizer of " Panic Prevention Disco " in the " 12 Bar Club" in Soho. He performs regularly as a DJ and musician and also presents other bands. The accompanying mixtape series is very popular in fan circles. In addition, he accompanied in summer 2007 Beatsteaks on some shows of their tour as opening act.
In September 2009, he released his second album Kings and Queens.
