Jan De Nul

The Jan de Nul Group is founded in 1938 by Jan de Nul Belgian origin of the forth family whose traditional focus is the Seebaggergeschäft and land reclamation. Parent company of all acting under the name of Jan de Nul Group Group companies is based in Luxembourg SA Sofidra

Importance

The company maintains a large fleet (81 vessels in July 2008) mainly by Seebaggerschiffen, including the largest hopper dredger in the world. In addition, it operates the laying of submarine pipelines, with a directory named after Simon Stevin -laying ship, civil engineering, port construction (such as quay walls ), dike construction and remediation. With the joint venture " Scaldis " it offers Seeschwertransporte (around bridge sections ) and ship salvage.

Competitors

Main competitors include the Belgian Dredging International and Royal Boskalis Westminster, the Dutch company Van Oord and Volker Stevin Marine Contracting ( VSMC ).
