Jan Nagel

Johann Georg Nagel ( born June 20, 1939 in Amsterdam) is a Dutch politician and former radio host. He is the founder of the seniors party 50PLUS.

Originally he was a member of the Social Democratic Partij van de Arbeid and was there for the extremely left wing. After a visit to East Berlin in 1975, he described the wall as historically correct. For this he was criticized in his own party. 1977-1983 nail PvdA was a deputy in the First Chamber.

In 1993 he founded the local party Leefbar Hilversum and sat for them in Hilversum in the city council and in city government. In 2001 he was co-founder of the wide range party Leefbar Nederland. This made ​​itself more and more right-wing populist thought on its own and had 2001/2002 short Pim Fortuyn as the leading candidate. Nagel was the first party leader.

In 2005 he was involved with the crime reporter Peter R. de Vries to the establishment of another party, the Partij voor Rechtvaardigheid, Daadkracht s Vooruitgang. She was unsuccessful in the polls and was dissolved.

2009 was a co-founder of the party nail Ooku, which has been renamed 50PLUS 2011. Nail was until 2012 also chairman and political leader of the party. In the provincial elections on 2 March 2011 50PLUS received enough votes so that she could choose a seat for the Onafhankelijke Senaatsfractie with the regional parties, namely in the first chamber of the national parliament.
