Jan Ove Pedersen

Jan-Ove Pedersen ( born November 12, 1968 in Oslo) is a Norwegian football coach and former player at the position of midfielder.

In his playing career he played for Lillestrøm SK Brann Bergen in Norway, and for black and white Bregenz in Austria, as well as Players out on loan for Cercle Brugge and the English club Hartlepool United.

Career as a player

As a player, Pedersen was a classic defensive midfielder, who played repeatedly excellent passes forward. His achievements between 1990 and 1994 at Lillestrøm SK brought him international recognition. In 1996 he signed a contract with SK Brann, but moved in exchange Frank Strandli to Lillestrøm. Pedersen was a hugely popular player, especially at Hartlepool United and Schwarz-Weiß Bregenz. He finished his playing career finally in Bregenz, where he played the best team in the club's history that participated twice Intertoto Cup, among others in the years 2002 and 2004.

Career as a coach

After the bankruptcy of SW Bregenz he remained the club as player-coach faithful. In the first two seasons of the now renamed SC Bregenz he succeeded the walkover from the 5th to the 3rd Austrian power level. In 2007, his contract was terminated by mutual agreement. From 2009 to 2010 he was a coach at SV Frastanz in the second class country in Vorarlberg. Since December 2013 he is head coach of FC Hörbranz (1st class country ).

Pedersen lives and continues to work near Bregenz, he is married and has three children.
