Jan Procházka (writer)

Jan Prochazka ( born February 4, 1929 in Ivančice, † February 20, 1971 in Prague) was a Czech writer.

He wrote children's books, novels and screenplays. Prochazka was one of the most famous personalities of the "Prague Spring". For it the Republic of living, he received the 1969 German Youth Literature Prize, but was never allowed to accept it. His children's book David and the Christmas carp was nominated for the German Youth Literature Award 1975.
