Jan Seifert ( born October 14, 1968 in Brand-Erbisdorf ) is a former German football player and current coach.

Career

Jan Seifert began his professional career at FC Chemnitz. About the SC Freiburg for it has been deployed in the Bundesliga and VfB Leipzig he came to FSV Zwickau, where he made his name as a defender. With the SpVgg Unterhaching he achieved the greatest success of his career, promotion to the Bundesliga. He came in two years for Unterhaching in the Bundesliga to 60 missions in which he scored 5 goals. Two descents in succession to the Regionalliga Süd he was still with, before retiring to Dynamo Dresden in home ground. Seifert scored in 191 games in the 2nd Bundesliga least 19 goals and 61 games in the Bundesliga first five goals. Seifert came to FC Karl- Marx-Stadt on September 13, 1989, in the UEFA Cup against Boavista Porto used. It was his only game in this competition.

From 2008 he was still playing for the Leubnitzer SV 1898.

After one season as a player at Dynamo Dresden Seifert joined in the summer of 2005 in the coaching staff. He coached until 2007, the second team of Dynamo and was with the coaching change on 25 September 2007 for assistant coach Eduard Geyer of the first team. As a result of the leave of absence from Geyer's successor Ruud Kaiser took over Seifert October 5, 2009 again the coach of the second team. In July 2010, Seifert took over the country's division in Radebeul BC 08

On April 25, 2013 it was announced that Seifert was obliged to 2013/14 season as coach of the second team of Dynamo Dresden. His contract is valid until 30 June 2015.
