Jan van Beers

Jan Van Beers ( born February 22, 1821 in Antwerp, † November 14, 1888 ) was a Flemish poet. He was the father of the painter Jan Van Beers ( 1852-1927 ).

Van Beers worked as a teacher of Dutch language at schools in Mechelen and Lier and at one Athenaeum (high school ) in Antwerp. He also wrote a Dutch grammar (1852 ).
