Janca

The Janca ( janq'u from Aymara, "white" ) is by Javier Pulgar Vidal 's highest elevation height level of the Andes, through 4800 m above sea level.

The Janca is the region of perpetual snow in the high Andean peaks. Steep slopes prevail, grow on their ice-free portions of mosses and lichens, as well as the only flowering plant that Yareta. There is no human population.

Within the Andean religion are the pinnacle seat of spiritual beings as well as housing the souls of the dead.
