Jane Heathcote-Drummond-Willoughby, 28th Baroness Willoughby de Eresby

(Nancy) Jane Marie Heathcote - Drummond - Willoughby, 28th Baroness Willoughby de Eresby PC ( born December 1, 1934) is the daughter of the late Gilbert James Heathcote - Drummond - Willoughby, 3rd Earl of Ancaster, and his wife Nancy Phyllis Louise Astor ( 1909-1975 ).

Heathcote - Drummond - Willoughby was one of the tow -makers at the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II and served as her Maid of Honour. Her brother Timothy, the title of heir to the Earldom of Ancaster was, since 1963, has been lost at sea.

When her father's death the barony Willoughby de Eresby went over to her. This is a very ancient barony in the Peerage of England, which can also be transferred into the female descendants, if no male is available. The earldom and the titles that were subordinate to this, extinguished contrast.

Heathcote - Drummond - Willoughby has inherited from her father about 300 km ² land in Lincolnshire and Perthshire. These include Grimsthorpe Castle and Drummond Castle. It is regularly listed in the Sunday Times Rich List, in the 1000 wealthiest individuals are listed who live in the UK.

The Baroness is also one of the joint holders of the office of Lord Great Chamberlain. Their share is 1/4 the second largest after that of the Marquess of Cholmondeley. Since the duties rotated, they or their descendant, the Office will, however, take over again only in the distant future.

From 1983 to the House of Lords Act 1999, it was due to its title, a member of the House of Lords and sat there as a Cross Bencher.
