Janez Gorišek

Janez Gorišek (* September 13 1933 in Ljubljana ) is a former Yugoslavian ski jumper and today's architect and engineer.

Career

Gorišek competed for Yugoslavia at the Olympic Winter Games 1956 in Cortina d' Ampezzo and landed there on the normal hill after two jumps of 63.5 meters to rank 50th

After the end of his active career Gorišek studied architecture and engineering at the University of Ljubljana and worked around the world after completing his studies in 1961 at the construction of ski jumps. His most famous building is the named after him and his brother Skiflugschanze Letalnica Bratov Gorišek in Planica.
