Jang Min-chul

Jang " MC " Min - chul ( born June 17, 1991 Cheonan ) is a professional South Korean e- sports in the computer game StarCraft 2 MC is currently ( November 2013 ) of the SC2 player with the largest sum of cumulated tournament prize money with a total of more than 410,000 U.S. dollars.

Career

Jang Min- chul started his e- Sports career still very unspectacular in Starcraft Broodwar. In Starcraft 2, he was initially a valuable member of the team Old Generations ( Abbr: OGS), which disbanded in 2012. MC was eliminated in the first two seasons of GSL 2010 Open Seasons relatively early, but was already in 2010 to decide the third GSL event in itself. He was the first Protoss player who noticed this very world tournament won ( prize money: 89,000 U.S. dollars).

Two GSL tournaments later ( in Season 2 of the 2011 Sponsorship League) was MC again the code -S Title lay claim ( Purse: 44,480 U.S. dollars). Thus he was the first player to win the GSL Code S tournament twice.

In China, MC won the StarsWar Killer 6 tournament ( prize money: $ 6,000 ).

In North America, MC took second place in the NASL Season One ( prize money: U.S. $ 25,000 ). In addition, he was able to reach 6th at MLG Providence 2011, and thus also write a cash prize of 5,250 U.S. dollars well into his account. The first " Red Bull Battle Grounds", which also took place in the U.S., won MC 2012 ( prize money: U.S. $ 15,000 ).

MC is known, among other things, to have won on all 3 major e-sports continents ( North America, Europe and Asia) at least one international tournament.

Jang Min- chul aka MC changed the beginning of 2012 the team SK.Gaming, which he represented in international tournaments since mid-2011. In the 2012 GSL Code S Season 3 MC has reached the second place in a Protoss vs Protoss against seed.

In 2013, Jang Min- chul has participated in several team leagues in team Incredible Miracle (IM). In spring 2013 MC announced some time in Europe to spend and to participate in the European excretions for the Blizzard World Championship Series, rather than to qualify over Korea. In 2 of the 3 EU Season Finals he could reach the second place.

With the end of the year 2013, MC SK Gaming separated.
