Janusz Bolonek

Janusz Bolonek (December 6, 1938 in Huta Dłutowska ) is a Polish priest and diplomat of the Holy See. He is currently the Apostolic Nuncio in Bulgaria and Macedonia.

Life

The auxiliary bishop in Łódź, Jan- Wawrzyniec Kulik, ordained him a priest on 17 December 1961. John Paul II appointed him on 25 September 1989 as Apostolic Pro-Nuncio in Ivory Coast and Titular Archbishop per hac vice of Madaurus.

The Pope personally consecrated him on 20 October 1989 in St. Peter as bishop; Edward Idris Cassidy were co-consecrators, substitute of the Secretariat of State, and Francesco Colasuonno, Apostolic Nuncio in Poland.

As a motto he chose Uni Trinque deodorant. On November 18, 1989, he was appointed Apostolic Pro-Nuncio in Niger and Burkina Faso. On January 23, 1995, he was appointed Apostolic Nuncio to Romania. On 11 November 1999 he was appointed Apostolic Nuncio to Uruguay. On 24 May 2008 he was appointed Apostolic Nuncio in Bulgaria. On 4 May 2011 he was appointed Apostolic Nuncio in Macedonia.
