Jaque de Cambrai

Jacques de Cambrai (* 1220 in Cambrai, France to save current ) was a medieval composer and Trouvère ( Troubadour ). About his life except his birthplace of Cambrai, he probably left early, almost nothing survived. As his main creative period is considered the third quarter of the 13th century. His music is not necessarily as innovative, but representative of the time of the High Middle Ages and the Flanders / Artois / Picardy, in which the composer lived. From Get him only four love songs, seven spiritual songs remained (see example below ) and a Pastourelle in a manuscript in the Berne Municipal Library.
