Jaroslav Kačmarčík

Jaroslav Kacmarcik ( born March 3 1954) is a former Czechoslovak orienteering and ski - orienteering.

Kacmarcik started 1974-1987 with a total of eight World Orienteering Championships. The greatest successes reach him here with the Czechoslovak squadron. At the World Championships in 1979 in Tampere, Finland, the team Zdeněk Lenhart, Jiří Ticháček and Kacmarcik behind Sweden and Finland won the bronze medal consisting of Petr Uher. After a fourth place in Thun 1981, the Czechoslovaks won in 1983 in the Hungarian Zalaegerszeg silver behind Norway. Jaroslav Kacmarcik ran this in a team with Vlastimil Uchytil, Pavel Ditrych and Jozef Polák. These World Championships Kacmarcik also reached his best individual result with sixth. Previously, he had run in 1976 and ninth in 1981 with the seventh place twice in the top ten.

In addition Kacmarcik launched in competitions in ski orienteering. He ran in this discipline at the World Championships in 1977 in Bulgaria and 1980 in Sweden, and won in 1977 with Jan Pachner, Jiří Jaromír Gorny Ticháček and the bronze medal in the relay race.

Later he worked as a trainer including the Italian national team.
