Jasc Software

Jasc Software was founded in 1991 by Airline pilots Robert Voit, who was well versed in computer science. The abbreviation stands for JASC the hobbies of the company founder. Written out in full it means Jet And Software Company. Since 1991, Kris Tufto CEO of Jasc Software.

Robert Voit began to develop graphic applications and make them available to the public in discussion forums. He was further motivated to continue to drive to his main project, the software Paint Shop Pro, with the work by the feedback received. Version 1.0 was released in early 1992.

Jasc Software was one of the few large software companies that made available the beta versions of their applications to the public.

The company was acquired in the fall of 2004, the company Corel to round out their product range.
