In the second half of the 16th century the village was Protestant. Owner of the domain Vizovice goods by the Lords of Kunštát from 1549 Wenzel von Boskowitz and from 1567 Zdeněk Kavka Říčany. The place name Jasenny has survived from the years 1562 and 1578 the village was called Gasennau. Other forms of the name at that time were Gasenna and Jesena. In the land register of the rule Vizovice 1585 33 properties are listed for Jasenná in the year, the biggest of which was the good of the bailiff with a hoof arable land and a mill. 1594 acquired the Hungarian nobles Dóczy Emerich de Nagy Lucsie ( Emerich Dóczy Natluče z ) the rule; he tried to re-catholicize the subjects. In 1607 Pavel Ubelský bought the Bailiwick of the orphans of his predecessor Matěj Klimes. The parish became extinct after the Thirty Years' War, at that time took over Jesuit missionaries with moderate success the return of the population to Catholicism. 1663 Jíra Mikuláštík received the office of bailiff. The place name Jasenna has survived from the year 1672. 1777 a Catholic Pfarrexpositur was established in Jasenna, which included the villages Ublo and Lutonina. However, the Catholics were the minority among the inhabitants. After 1777 on the Hostýnské a fake Tolereranzpatent was read to reveal the true religious creed of their subjects, to 1778 139 inhabitants of Jasenna known publicly for the Augsburg Confession. The Vogt Mikuláštík allowed them even though he was a Catholic, the holding of Protestant religious services in his barn. After the promulgation of the tolerance patent came in 1781 with the exception of Mikuláštík family all residents to Protestantism. The following year, Protestants formed their own church and erected a wooden house of prayer. The Catholic school was founded in 1782. In 1834 the village had grown to 82 houses in which 438 people survived. The main source of income was the agriculture and sheep farming in particular. Until the mid-19th century Jassena always remained subservient to the rule Wisowitz.
