Jasmine tea

Jasmine Tea (Chinese茉莉花 茶, pinyin Moli huāchá ) is flavored by blending with jasmine flowers tea.

History

The origins of jasmine tea are in the Chinese Song Dynasty ( 960-1279 ). Blending with flowers was first used to upgrade lower quality teas. Today, jasmine is considered a particularly fine tea blend, which is, however, available in numerous levels of quality. Quality factors are in addition to the selection of the flowers, the number of mixtures, the so-called "Weddings " each fresh flowers with the green tea.

Production

As a basis for making a green tea or semi-fermented tea used. In these, depending on the production method, introduced the aroma of jasmine flowers by mixing with the flowers or vapor deposition on a flower petal. In high-quality teas the flowers are then screened again by hand.
