Jason T. Smith

Jason T. Smith ( born June 16, 1980 in St. Louis, Missouri) is an American politician. Since 2013 he represents the state of Missouri in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Jason Smith, the son of a farmer's family, attended until 1998, the Salem High School and then studied until 2001 at the University of Missouri in Columbia. After a subsequent law studies at the School of Law at Oklahoma City University and his 2004 was admitted to the bar he began to work in this profession. At the same time he proposed as a member of the Republican Party launched a political career. Between 2005 and 2013 he sat as an MP in the House of Representatives from Missouri, where he was a four committees.

Following the resignation of the members Jo Ann Emerson Smith was at the due election with 67.1 percent of the vote to Democrat Steve Hodges for the eighth seat from Missouri whose successor in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he took up his new mandate on June 4, 2013. He is a member of the National Rifle Association and several chambers of commerce.
