Geology

The Great Jastrebac is essentially made up of two layers that are vertically located in one of the chronology contradictory result, ie the younger layer is below. This consists of little or only moderate metamorphic überprägtem rock that was deposited during the Upper Cretaceous and the Cretaceous - Paleogene transition. In Storage therein we find granite, possibly the Vardar zone. Above it is a mighty thrust, which consists of metamorphic rocks of the Serbo -Macedonian mass.
