Javier Abril Espinoza

Javier Abril Espinoza ( Honduras * 1967 ) is a writer, poet and playwright who published in Spanish and German. Espinoza lives in Switzerland.

He writes for the Honduran newspaper El Heraldo and various Latin American and Central European literary magazines. For his poetry band De aquí en adelante ... (Spanish: From now on ... ), he received the 1996 Pablo Neruda Prize.

His most famous work is the book Un ángel atrapado en el huracán (Spanish, about an angel trapped in a hurricane ), which deals with hurricanes in Central America and the Caribbean. He describes in the book, how people live with such natural disasters and criticized the governments that do not support the people.
