Jean-Christian Michel

Jean-Christian Michel is a French composer and clarinetist.

Michel has occurred to others after his training as a surgeon in 1970. He is inspired by the sacred music of Johann Sebastian Bach and the sophisticated European jazz. He plays his compositions and adaptations on the clarinet. Jean-Christian Michel has always surrounded with competent jazz musicians such as Kenny Clarke, who played with him for 10 years. Furthermore, he has performed with drummer Daniel Humair and bassist Guy Pedersen and Henri Texier.

Jean-Christian Michel in 1986 in Paris the price " Science and Culture" ( " Science and Culture" ) awarded by the Sorbonne. The jury consisted of six Nobel laureates.
