Jean Dasté
Jean Dasté ( born September 18, 1904 in Paris, † October 15, 1994 in Saint -Priest -en- Jarez, Loire ) was a French actor and theater director.
Life
Dasté is best known for his performances as an actor and director of many works. He had in 1932 in a film by Jean Renoir made his first appearance. In 1947 he became the first director of the Comedie de Saint - Etienne. His adopted home of Saint- Étienne, named after his death, a school and a theater after him. His last movie he made 57 years later at the age of 85 years.
He married Danish-born actress Marie -Hélène Copeau (1902-1994), the daughter of the French writer Jacques Copeau ( 1879-1949 ).
