Jean-Marie Besset

Jean -Marie Besset ( born November 22, 1959 in Carcassonne ) is a French playwright and screenwriter.

Besset grew up in Limoux, where he took his baccalaureate from. He graduated in 1981 from the École supérieure des sciences économiques et commerciales ( ESSEC ) and 1984 at the Institut d' études politiques de Paris ( IEP). Besset wrote a number of plays and adapted a number of dramas from English. From his drama Grande École Besset developed the screenplay for the film Grande École, still he wrote to the screenplays for The Proprietor and La Fille du RER with.

Besset was nine times for the Prix Molière nominated and received a Prix du Syndicat de la critique for Ce qui arrive et ce qu'on attend and a Prix SACD. Besset is Chevalier and Officier of the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres, as well as winner of the Prix du Jeune Théâtre the Académie française.
