Jean-Marie Charpentier

ARTE Charpentier Architectes (French Arte Charpentier & Associés, also L' agence ARTE Charpentier ) is a large French global architecture, planning and urban design office. It was founded in 1969 by Jean -Marie Charpentier in Paris and has worked mainly in France and China. Additional offices in Lyon and Shanghai.

The acronym ARTE in the company name is formed from the French terms Architecture, research ( investigations ), Technique and Environment (Environment). Jean Marie Charpentier ( 1939-2010 ).
