Jean Rivier
Jean Rivier ( born July 21, 1896 in Villemomble; † 6 November 1987 in La Penne- sur -Huveaune ) was a French composer.
Rivier studied after studying philosophy at the Paris Conservatory with Jean Gallon, Georges Caussade and Maurice Emmanuel, where he worked from 1947 to 1966 as a teacher of composition.
In addition to an opera, a ballet, and radio stations Rivier composed over one hundred symphonic works, including seven symphonies, a number of instrumental concertos, chamber music, a Requiem, psalms, choral works and songs.
