Jean Soanen
Jean Soanen ( born January 6, 1647 Rome, † December 25, 1740 in La Chaise- Dieu, Haute -Loire ) was a bishop of the Catholic Church.
After studying with the Oratorians with Pasquier Quesnel he was in 1695 Bishop of Castellane, Alpes -de -Haute -Provence. He was named after the Papal Bull Unigenitus from 1713 head of the Jansenists. Soanen was exiled to La Chaise- Dieu after the provincial synod in Embrun in 1727.
