Jeff Christie

Jeffrey Christie ( born February 2, 1983 in Vancouver, British Columbia ) is a Canadian luger.

Jeff Christie is luger since 1995. Since 2000, the student is a member of the Canadian National Team and also started in the Luge World Cup. In 2001, he joined Calgary in his first World Championship, where he finished 16th in the single-seater and eleventh with the Canadian team. At the Junior World Championships in 2002, he finished fourth in the World Cup of the season 2001/ 02 in the Junior World Cup runner-up. In the Luge World Cup in Sigulda in 2003, he started for the second time in a World Cup. In the individual he was this time 19, with the team of eight. Something better was the appearance at the 2004 World Championships in Nagano. Here he was 16 as at his first World Cup finals, with the team he reached the seventh place.

A further improvement brought the World Cup in 2005. In Park City, he finished twelfth place in singles and sixth place with the team. The 2006 Olympics he finished in 14th place in the individual competition. Several times he could be in the World Cup of the single-seater in the top ten place in the overall World Cup but as he reached the best ranking in 13th place in the Luge World Cup 2006/07. With the team he reached multiple placements on the podium, best finish was second place with Regan eavesdropper and Chris Moffat and Mike Moffat at home in Calgary in December 2006.
