Jeff Maxwell

Jeff Maxwell ( born 1947 ) is an American actor who was known in particular for his role as Private Igor Stramisky in the television series M * A * S * H.

In the 1970s, Maxwell was initially seen as an extra in several movies and television series before joining the role of the chef Igor in M * A * S * H took over from the second season. There he is seen in 77 episodes, and thus one of the most common side characters.

Later, Maxwell was involved in founding the production company Smash Cut Entertainment and worked as a casting director for Twentieth Century Fox. Today he is a radio presenter at the station KFWB News Talk 980 in a common mission with Rick Shoemaker, president of Warner Chappell Music.

In 1997 he published a cookbook with the "lost recipes of Private Igor".
