Jehoash of Israel

Joash, Hebrew יואש, († 786 or 782 or 787 BC) was king of Israel. His reign is dated to the years 801-786 BC or 798-782 BC or 801-787 BC.

Joash was the son and successor of Jehoahaz. He mourned the death of the prophet Elisha, who prophesied to him dying, he 'll beat the Syrians three times.
