History

Jelly Vision was founded in 1989 under the name Learn Television, at that time, to be published with the aim of children's films. As the computer became more popular as an entertainment medium, Learn Television spent on this and developed That's A Fact, Jack ®!, An interactive game show, which was aimed at primary school pupils and middle school students and contains quiz questions to numerous books.

During the development of That's A Fact, Jack ®! concluded Learn Television partnered with Berkeley Systems, and began to develop You Do not Know Jack. At the same time the company name was changed in Burnt Jelly vision to reflect the change of the target audience. However, the company decided to fast for simply to name just a Jelly vision.

This was followed by mainly new title for the You Do not Know Jack series. Following the publication of the sixth U.S. part, The Lost Gold, Jelly vision began to develop for marketing purposes as a commissioned work interactive conversations (using Flash). The user is usually conducted through text overlays and a voice-over by a set of inputs that will for example help him ( in a commissioned work for Microsoft) when choosing a new laptop. The user input is stored and processed at the end of a list of matching laptops.

Division

In the period from 2006 to 2008, Jelly Vision divided into two companies on: Jelly Vision Games, now responsible for the development of You Do not Know Jack, and Jelly Vision Lab, now responsible for the development of new interactive conversations. Both companies share the same headquarters in Chicago and part of the staff of the Jelly Vision Lab is also working on You Do not Know Jack.

In June 2013, the subsidiary Jelly Vision Games cleaved specifically on its mother company and changed its name to JACKBOX games. The seat is still in Chicago, and all the projects that were started under the previous name will be ongoing.
