Jennifer Garner
Jennifer Anne Garner ( born April 17, 1972 in Houston, Texas; bourgeois Jennifer Anne Affleck ) is an American actress, film producer and film director. It is, among other Golden Globe -winning actress.
Life and career
Jennifer Garner grew up as the second of three sisters in Charleston, West Virginia, on. With a lot of enthusiasm for the stage work she took ballet lessons for years. As she herself confessed that she had little talent for ballet.
After her high school graduation Garner attended from 1990, the Denison University in Ohio, first with a major in chemistry. Later she moved to the theater, because in turn attracted the stage. After completing her university degree in 1994, she moved to New York City where he worked as assistant at the theater. A little later she came to her first small roles on television, for example, in the series Significant Others.
Finally, Garner moved to Los Angeles, where she earned her living as a Tischanweiserin in a restaurant and gradually came also to other television roles. In 2000 she married the actor and film producer colleague Scott Foley. In 2003 she got a divorce from him. She had followed a brief relationship with her fellow actor Michael Vartan.
2001 Garner got her first starring role in the hit action series Alias - The agent of JJ Abrams. For the role of Sydney Bristow she won the 2002 Golden Globe in the category: Best Actress a Drama Series. A first attempt to make in lead roles on the big screen career, she succeeded in 2004 with the comedy 30 overnight quite successful. With Elektra, she took in 2004, this time as the title character, a supporting role in the comic book movie Daredevil back on. This strip was mediocre success in U.S. cinemas. In 2013 she played alongside Matthew McConaughey, a supporting role in Jean -Marc Vallées film Dallas Buyers Club.
Since 2004, Garner is in a relationship with her fellow actor Ben Affleck. The two married on 29 June 2005 in the Caribbean, their first daughter was born on 1 December 2005. On 6 January 2009, the second daughter was born. On 27 February 2012 the first joint son followed. Garner has taken her husband's last name and is now called Jennifer Affleck. Although it still retains the name Garner as a stage name.
