Jennifer Meier

Jennifer Meier ( born April 13, 1981 in Worms ) is a German football player. The striker plays for the Swedish first division club Djurgården Damfotboll.

Career

In 1991, the then ten- year-old Jennifer Meier began VfR Buerstadt playing football. Five years later they moved to FSV Frankfurt, where they celebrated their first successes. In 1999, she won her first championship, a year later, the U-18 European Championship. In summer 1999, she moved to local rivals 1 FFC Frankfurt, where she managed three times in a row the league and cup double. On September 8, 2001, she debuted in the national team in the game against Japan. Overall, Jennifer Meier was seven times the shirt of the DFB. 2002 Meier won the first FFC Frankfurt the first time played UEFA Women 's Cup. A year later she moved to the U.S. WUSA, where she played for a short time at Washington Freedom. Already in the same year, she returned to Germany and played two more years for FSV Frankfurt. After the 2004/ 05 season broke the FSV team and Meier moved to Sweden a climber QBIK Karlstad. After two years with Djurgarden Meier moved to the Swedish second division Bollstanäs SK.
