Jenny Lin

Jenny Lin ( born January 31, 1973 in Taiwan) is an American pianist.

Life

Born in Taiwan, Lin began playing the piano at the age of four years. She grew up in Austria and moved at age 14 in the United States.

In a native of Goa pianist Noel Flores she studied at the Vienna Academy of Music, with Julian Martin at the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore. After completing her Bachelor she expanded her knowledge through master classes and courses with Blanca Uribe and Richard Goode in New York, and Andreas Staier and Dmitri Bashkirov on Lake Como.

In 1996, she won the second prize at the José Iturbi - Competition in Valencia. 1998 she was awarded the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore and Graduate Diploma in German literature.

In 2003 she worked with 20 other pianists at a memorial concert in honor of the victims of the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001 in New York, where the symphony was first performed for 21 pianos by the Italian composer and pianist Daniele Lombardi on 21 Fazioli pianos.

Repertoire and reception

Although Jenny Lin has been taken neither by an influential concert agency under contract, is still one of the first winners of major competitions, her career start was very successful. She has performed in Europe, the United States and in her native Taiwan.
