Jenny Thompson

Jenny Thompson ( born February 26, 1973 in Dover, New Hampshire, USA) is an American swimmer.

Thompson was one of the most reliable swimmers of the 1990s in the international swimming scene. Although she was never individual Olympic gold medalist, swimmer could not collect more Olympic medals than them. Overall, they won eight gold medals with the U.S. squadrons at the Olympic Games in 1992, 1996 (one of them for their commitment in advance of the medley relay ) and 2000. Moreover, she won the Olympic individual medals silver over 100 meters freestyle in Barcelona in 1992 and the bronze medal over 100 m freestyle in Sydney in 2000. At the 2004 Olympics in Athens, she won the 4 × 100 m medley relay silver medal behind Australia and another silver for their leading use with the 4 × 100 m freestyle relay.

However, their most successful year as an individual swimmer was not an Olympic year. In 1998, she was the 100m butterfly and the 100m freestyle at the World Swimming Championships World Champion.
