Jenő Schönberger

Jenő Schönberger, actually Eugen Schoenberger, ( born June 18, 1959 in Turulung at Negreşti - Oaş, Romania) is a bishop of the Diocese of Satu Mare in Romania.

Life

Schoenberger comes from Turulung (Hungarian: Túrterebes; German Turterebesch ) on the Romanian- Ukrainian border. He received on 23 June 1985, the ordination.

He was appointed by Pope John Paul II appointed Bishop of Satu Mare ( Szatmár ) 2003. The episcopal ordination on 21 June 2003 gave him the Archbishop of Alba Iulia, György Jakubinyi ( principal consecrator ), as well as the then Apostolic Nuncio to Romania, Archbishop Jean -Claude Périsset, and the Bishop of Oradea Mare, József Tempfli.
