Jeremy Peter Allen
Jeremy Peter Allen ( born August 15, 1968 in Toronto, Ontario ) is a Canadian film director, production director, screenwriter, editor and film producer.
Life and achievements
Allen worked as a production manager and first assistant director on the film drama with The Other Side of the Moon (2003), which was awarded with various prizes. This Robert Lepage played in a double role of two different brothers. With the film Manners of Dying (2004) Allen debuted as a director in a movie. He also wrote the screenplay and was responsible for the cut. In this film drama is the condemned to death the main character, played by Roy Dupuis, shown in his last hours.
In 2001, Allen won the Ajijic International Film Festival the Jury Prize for Requiem contre un plafond as best short film. In 2006 he was nominated for a Genie Award for Best Editing for Manners of Dying.
Allen lives in the city of Québec and has a son named Liam (* 2004).
