Jerome Kohlberg, Jr.

Jerome mirror Kohlberg, Jr. ( born 1926 ) is an American businessman and billionaire. Kohlberg is co-founder of private equity firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co.

Training

Kohlberg attended the New Rochelle High School in New Rochelle, before he attended Swarthmore College. There he received a bachelor of arts. He later earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Doctor of Law from Columbia Law School.

In 1986 he founded the Philip Evans Scholarship Foundation of Swarthmore College.

Career

Kohlberg worked for the U.S. investment bank Bear Stearns, along with Henry Kravis and George R. Roberts, who together founded specializing in leveraged buyouts, Kohlberg Kravis Roberts investment company in 1976. 1994 rose from Kohlberg, leaving his son James Kohlberg line.

Kohlberg is committed to socially on the Kohlberg Foundation.

Family

Kohlberg is married and has four children. His wife runs the restaurant The Flying Pig ( German: ' The Flying Pig ) in Mount Kisco.
