Oil Creek

The Jersey Bridge is a steel truss bridge einstreifige that the Oil Creek Pennsylvania crosses in Cherrytree Township, Venango County, in the United States. It connects Titusville with the Drake Well Museum and Oil Creek State Park. The building was added in 1988 in the National Register of Historic Places. It was replaced in 1998 by a new, modern building, although the construction of the old bridge was used.

History

The original Jersey Bridge was built by the Morse Bridge Company, the predecessor company of the Youngstown Bridge Company, in 1882. The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation ( PennDOT ) increased in 1979 due to the deteriorating condition of a weight limit of 10 tons short ( about 9,100 kg) for the bridge fixed. On 22 June 1988, the building with other bridges in Pennsylvania was entered in the National Register of Historic Places. In 1997 the building was replaced, on the one hand satisfy the security requirements by the Department of Transportation of the State to do and on the other hand coaches to allow the drive to the Drake Well Museum. Design
